Our Planning Guides

Editorial Policy

Independent planning resources created to help guests make informed venue decisions. This page sets out how the guides are researched, what qualifies a venue, and how they are kept current.

The venue collection

30+ halls, one booking desk

From the Hosa Road flagship to our newest venues in HSR Layout, Banashankari and KR Puram — enquire once, and the desk matches your date to the right venue.

Décor visuals are enhanced styling concepts; final décor, layout and capacity are confirmed at your site visit.

How the venue guides are made

One written method, applied the same way to every venue on every guide — ours included.

Where the venues come from

Each category starts from a working list of 60–200 Bangalore venues, built up since August 2025 from site visits, direct calls to booking desks, Google Maps, Justdial and conversations with people who have actually hosted there.

What makes the cut

Fifteen venues make each guide. To qualify, a venue needs per-plate pricing we can verify, published capacity, a Google rating holding at 3.5 or better, and proof it actually operated through 2025–26. Order comes from best-fit band — never from payment.

Data columns compared

  • Per-plate price (veg / non-veg)
  • Capacity band (min – max seated)
  • Hidden-charges policy (GST, service, generator)
  • Outside décor + outside cake / ring-platter rules
  • Nearest metro station and line
  • On-site parking count
  • AC / non-AC / outdoor
  • Best-fit format (editorial judgement)

Review cadence

Review window: Quarterly (Jan, Apr, Jul, Oct).
Off-cycle update triggers: verified pricing change >10%, metro line opening/closure affecting access, venue going inactive.

Disclosures, in plain words

We list ourselves. Veloria Grand appears in its own comparison guides — same columns, same standard, and never at #1. Where we appear is the position our actual fit earns.

Transparency. Placement in our guides is never paid for, and Veloria Grand’s own venues are labelled wherever they appear.

Where the data comes from. Calls to venue booking desks, rate cards published on official websites, Google Maps aggregates, Justdial listings, and our own visits or video walkthroughs. No affiliate links, no referral fees from any booking platform.

Who reviews the guides

Ranjith Reddy — Founder, Veloria Grand

Reviewer-of-record for every comparison guide on this site. He runs Veloria Grand's halls and booking desk day to day; his background, how he checks venue facts and the guides he has written are on his author page. Corrections go to events@theveloriagrand.com.

Editorial independence

Our own venues appear in our comparison guides, which is exactly why the rules matter. Veloria Grand sits where the data puts it — row 8 of 15 on the banquet guide, not row 1 — with the same columns filled in as every competitor. No venue has ever paid to appear, ours included.
